Safety These Days - During This Ramadhan / Pre Election Period

Every Ramadhan every year, you could bet your ass that you would have to watch out for road blocks and daylight robbery literally.

This year, things somehow have become from bad to worse. Its like if you were to combine all the stories you have heard about robbery for the past 3 years, all occur in a span of 5 weeks or less. And its only halfway through Ramadhan now.

In our shitty country we call Malaysia, our Prime Minister announced that Malaysia's crime rate had dropped from snatches to general robbery related matters to a low 13 percent. Cops apparently have been deployed with extra force to combat crime rates.

Upon announcement on this news which made headlines in the front page of the Star News Paper, the very next day, the Prime Ministers Department in Putrajaya saw a couple who had taken hostage of a policeman with a samurai sword, causing injury to some and breaking car windows. The man was shot dead later.

Looks like our Prime Minister himself isnt so safe. And WTF policeman, how did you become a hostage yourself ? Since then, crime has been up, all in a span of 5 weeks or less. Every Malaysian knows of someone who got robbed, house broken into, kena pau, snatch cases, cases of insult and injury, and slashings. Every week, I hear 2 more new stories. And if the robbers dont rob you, the cops will. Duit raya time.

Things have become really bad. No one is ever safe these days. Where you could sit down in your garden or porch, thieves will now climb over your walls and rob you. You are not even safe at home. And what are our Royal Malaysian Police doing about this ? Nothing. Its a pity, if things get from bad to worse, you will see even more firearms being used and the general safety of our civilians are jeopardized. It sucks cause even going out on weekends seems to be tough.

Being at home will give you a lower rate of being robbed for sure, even when you're in the location of a guarded community, but everyone is on the take these days so you are just not safe. Is it because of Ramadhan people who are poor rob the better off to help feed their family ? Are they foreigners ? I doubt. Could it be PKR self mutilating its own state ? Could it be BN making PKR look bad ? Or could it be partially to car tinting security companies who want more income ? The answer lies with those who rob you.

Whatever it may be, its just not safe. Tinting your car window will only save you so much. Where the average Malaysian doesn even get 3,000 a month, you can be sure hardly any one of them can fork out 1500 to get their car tinted. Its miserable, and its a chain reaction. Things are not just bad for income where investments can be made for security but even the general security of any Malaysian now is open to harm.

Well, all that anyone can do is just stay home, and hope that you dont get robbed

Why pay to walk on your "poverty specification" tarmac ? What is so special when people say " Ill give you a special price " when at the end of the day, you can give the person back the difference in "special price" cause it doesnt justify. E.g - Wanted to buy a tv at D Legend SS2 for 2,450. Called Desa Home Theatre and they said only 20 bucks less.

Told them nothing special. Why the fuck,.. tell me why the fuck should I run further, pay toll, petrol and buy something cause its 20 bucks less. I can give this 20 bucks to anyone. 20 bucks is nothing nowadays. Thank GOD a 30 cent phone call was all it took to know the best prices being offered by the 2 shops. Made life quicker to decision making. Makes you wonder whats so fucking special about what people are offering these days huh ?

No one puts another guys ride or equipment down. Everyones open to help tell you information. Its not all about the car. Its not all about money. FRIENDS WHO SAY THEY CAN HELP - THESE DAYS = BULLSHIT Todays friends who say they can help, cant help for shit. 20 years ago if friends say they can help, they really could. Today, fuck off. I get this all the time, friends who are selling the same thing and saying they can help while offering you at the same price. Fuck off. You people are NOT HELPING.

I know a person named(knew) Mithra, she works in Bank Negara, as a person who was a friend, I asked for help to get a better settlement figure for my outstanding car amount. Nigger Please. You cant help. YOU CANT HELP. Friends cant help you get anything better nowadays. Matter of fact, the friends you should keep are the people who you get the best deals from. Or starngers that you meet who become your friends. Those are friends. Friends with benefits ?

NON. You may benefit by Making friends, but you wont have friends with benefits. Hardly. You probably have, but you can just count them with one hand's fingers THE ONLY PERSON YOU CAN HELP IN LIFE IF YOURSELF AND YOUR PARTNER TO BE WHO YOU CAN BE POLITICS I really cant wait to throw my vote down. And the biggest problem is out of the way. A reception. Now I can work backwards to things. But its all small things. Sometimes I hate culture for the delays it adds, the stress and customs that come along with it. But then again, in the years to come, you will know what to do and why its done. Plus its supposed to be fun. Why else put customs into a wedding ? There are just too many heads and too many opinions, mixed with traditions and customs. But thats what its like.

I didnt know the phrase "weddings are big business in Malaysia" till it hit home. Truly is, in this cheapskate corner cutting country. Really expensive. But then again, not all is bad. This is where theres light at the end of the tunnel. Corkage can be waivered, free extras and other additions that dont get charged help. Who you ask may help these days ? Someone I never met, but deal with, and is being true and honest to his work. How many people you know are like that ? YOU ?
