Experiencing a change of Car

Its been a while dear blog, since I wrote something. The biggest thing happening to me right now is a change of car.

While I have writen before about the prices of fuel and the economy of vehicles in Malaysia, I have now had the opportunity presented to me to FINALLY change my car which I have bitched about for 5 1/2 years now.

ROOT CAUSE - Why do people change cars ? A few reasons. It could be because you have had the chance by striking a lottery and purchase a better car. You could though, have settled your loan amount by or before your final installment - which was my case. You could have realised that your car was depreciating slowly. Chances are, 1 of these issues would have promted you to change a car.

WHY CHANGE A CAR - Cause your car is old. Your car is beginning to show signs of problematic issues. Parts are becoming diffcult, labour is rising and parts become expensive and harder and harder to find. Because its not cool to drive a Kia Sorento between the ages of 21 - 28.

Thats right. 6 1/2 years of being with a car that added 20 years extra to my age. A decision made by Dad to a desperate son who just wanted something with 4 wheels at that time.

THE FIRST CAR (Sorento Diesel) - " I was driving on the highway and suddenly this thing overtook me and when I stopped at the petrol station and saw the car it was a Sorento. I thought it was a BMW...." Really Dad, you drive that slow. You lost me in a convoy at 30kmh. Of course its faster than you.

With all that mentioned above, sooner or later, I had to find a car that was of my age, my liking, gave me what I wanted, had good financing, benefits, the power I was after, savings, and most importantly something where I could easily dispose of in future that would still give me something better in future when I trade it in.

BITCHING ABOUT THE SORENTO - Can you imagine, I earned 1,256.00 Ringgit when I owned a car that was 2192.00 in installments with 2.9% interest and had to pay 1.2k a year for road tax. In a period of 1 year of ownership the price of Diesel went up by 35 cents. Naza made the car "NAZA SORENTO"
2 years later and every fucking Raya the car would be sold at RM 118,000.00 ONLY ! Fuck you Naza, Fuck you big time for price slashes. You fuck your own customers.

I took a loan which was 210,000 and the day of delivery, Kia didnt even fill a full tank of Diesel for me. No fucking Thank you note, not even a fucking key chain that would have costed them NOTHING.

Customer Loyalty ? FUCK YOU NAZA

Who the fuck in their young stupid mine would be smart enough to look at a bad decision such as a Sorento ? Me. Cause I wasnt smart enough. I didnt know much of cars. I had no experience owning one. With many years after of looking at Motor Trader, I learned so much about cars and knew enough that I wasnt going to make the same mistake as when I was at 21 EVER again.

SO WHATS NEXT - Volkswagen Golf 1.4 TSI

POISON CASES - My girlfriend claims that she influenced me, well she did to a certain extend. I never condemned the car. My cousin and I had talked about a golf gti a few months ago when he said " you should not look at second hand cars and you should start walking into showrooms ". And my God is the Universe wonderful. I said it would be nice driving a Golf.

SETTLING THE LOAN -So after helping with about 7k to clear the loans faster, and an additional 8.5k from Dad after bitching to him that the cars problems were worth 2.3k in 2 weeks which was more than the monthly installments and the price of what an Audi would be like to get it repaired on average, he helped with settling the loan for me. Yeah yeah, Daddy helped me, but I work in the family business so its my freaking money too.

THE MISTAKES ILL NEVER MAKE AGAIN - 1. Never Buy Korean 2. Buy a petrol car 3. Buy something that Chinese buy 4. Something that suits your age 5. Comes with a damn good warranty 6. My band Dragon Red cant use like the Sorento " Use the Sorento La, Big what can put everything inside" FUCK YOU NOW GUYS HAHAHA ! ! ! 7. Has the power I want 8. Good deal 9. What I want

So when I looked at it, the Golf had little to argue about. Sure, it didnt have the best interior but hey, its a German built quality. It doesnt have GPS for 160k but hey your roadtax is 70.00 a year. Did I say 70.00 ? Yes. Im saving the comapny 6,250.00 Bucks in 7 years. Interest rate 2.54 with Affin. Im saving the comapny 42,000.00 in 7 years with this car. Did they say UNCAPPED MILEAGE ? WHAT ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS? Yes, Uncapped mother fucking mileage in 5 years unlike BMW's weak 60,000kms or 3 year warranty. Give me a break.

So all things are in good checks with me now. So as a no brainer. I booked it.

COLOUR - Yes, colour to some may be considered as auspicious, good luck, good feng sui but thinking along those lines will just fuck your mind up. I had the Sorento in Black before. But 90% of people are wrong when they say " Buying a black car will hide dirt " my friend your are terribly wrong. It shows scratches, dust, dirt, birt shit which is in unfaithful white and really shows your not washing your car often. And the myth of black cars are hot, yes thats true. So I painted the Sorento the total opposite in Feb 2011, Camry Crystal White. Yes the colour is good, the colour is nice, it hides bird shit pretty well, it blends with the dust but man, Im unlucky with White. White doesnt run in my family well for cars. Cause thats when problems appeared harder to the car. So whats the best car colour for cars ? SILVER.

Why Silver ? - If you get a scratch it doesnt show easy. If birds shit on it, its still fine. If its hot, it reflects better. So SILVER is the best all rounder colour for cars. It may not be the best looking but the practicality issues are obvious. So SILVER was booked.

The only stupid thing now is that the 3 other cars in my home now consists of SILVER too. However, even though black is a very nice appealing colour for a golf which makes it look so much more expensive, its got a black interior already. Try living with a car for 4.5 years or 7 years with a black interior and black exterior. What wonderful imagination you would have said to yourself when picking this colour. Thats what you would tell yourself in 18 months.

TEST DRIVE - Well I wasnt really as impressed at the test drive. I dont understand why the fuck car dealers dont take you on a longer route or a more better route. Had to try the car twice. I couldnt feel the pull of the car even when I pulled the car to 120kmh on the second test drive. Seats were nice but couldnt see the bonet of the car which reminded me of the Sorento. Oh well Manshaan, you cant satisfy every cup of tea you wish for.

BOOKING - I booked the car and paid 1500.00. Which was good as compared to a 5k booking. Why ? Because the new act in Malaysia says not more than 1% of the cars value for booking. So what a cheap booking.

COLD FEET - I have been waiting for this day for so long. When the day comes, you make the arrangements for a booking and then you hear all sorts of shitty stories. " Volkswagen service is shit" or " Volkswagen got problems" and all sorts of other shitty stories especially from the dealer I purchased from.

But hey let me tell you this TOYOTA has some shit ass complaints by customers online too. So does fucking HONDA. Honda and TOYOTA cars get stollen a lot.

Honda and Toyota which are so called power after sales service masters in malaysia have a bad rep too. So how does that make you feel now ?

THE DOCUMENTS - Man, this new act is a bitch, with over 30 plus innitials required to be signed at.

SORENTO STRIKES AGAIN - Well upon evaluation of my car the first time and being offered 34k, I had to change the windscreen which was covered anyway so I changed that. Upon releasing of my car and signing the documents saying Im surrendering my car at 34,000k, the dealer found another issue. I said I would pay only 300.00 and thats it. But hey, what do dealers want more ? To scare you to reduce your car price ? What are they expecting from a car being traded in ? Gold treated cars ? A brand new car ? With less than 80k on mileage in 7 years ? Non Smoker ? Lady Driver ?A car with a warranty offered by owners ? No, its a used car, simple as that, its just gonna have to be taken in the way it is. After all dealers will try and scare you later to get the price reduced. Please. If you have checked the car before, thats the price offered and agreed to. Plus you WILL adjust my odo meter to 80,000kms and write in Motor Trader such things and sell it at 48k. But look, Im happy with what was offered, its fair, and thats that.

I had to change my windscreen by making a police report, getting pictures from the cops, and also getting insurance settled. This had taken 4 days in total which included a day where the Sorento's luck was to get the first windscreen changed by the workshop with scractches. 9 of them in total. After complaining they had to give a new one which took a day later.

THE WAIT - So now here comes the wait. I could have got the car earlier if it wasnt for the new act. Banks are becoming slower, the process isssss sooooooo sllooooowww,... the insurance isssss soooooooo sllllooooooow,..... and the wait is ssoooooo ssllllooooooow to finally get the car.Cancelling 1 insurance and uploading another insurance will take you about 2 days

Anyhow, So thats that. Its just a slow long wait and Im glad of my decision that I have to live with for the next 4.5 years of hopefully earlier. I have now a car which I believe will serve me better and make me finally feel youthful and not robbed of youth. Im helping with the savings and in any way I can for the benefit of me and those around me. Bless me God with a car commissioned by Hitler. What an AWESOME car. Cant wait !

1 Malaysia ? Its too late fools, its all seperated

Last week, my family and I went for dinner at a 5 star hotel to have dinner with our neighbours.

Doesnt that first line sound weird already ? Going out with your NEIGHBOURS for God's sake ! ??? Whats going on ? Your neighbours are not worth even 2 cents which equals to nothing !

But its true, we went out with them and bought spent them a good diner. Why ? Because after 27 years, they are moving. A nice Malay couple with 3 kids who have all grown up except the last one who is now 17.

Do you all remember a time, if you were born in the 80's and lived your youth through the 90's, your neighbours were a part of your lives.

What happened to playing sports together like football , badminton, catching, chopping (wow never said that game in a long time !) and be it masak masak or car games, shooting games, fishing, bottle caps, marbles, rounders, or anything you can imagine under the sun literally. If you were bored with all these games, you and your neighbours would create one from anything you could find and make it your own.

Age didnt make a great difference and before the age of video games, all neighbours children were social amongst each other. Your parents would receive cookies, extra food, call each other on the telephone from one neighbour to another and then meet at the fence or weekly vegetable seller to catch up further on gossip.

What happened to your neighbours that used to take care of your home, bring your children to school if your car broke down in the morning and handing them over your keys whenever you needed to go out station. Even your car keys to warm it up if necessary.

This all sounds like something you would read and view pictures from a LAT comic. (Do you even know who LAT is ?).

I came to the conclusion at the end of our diner that the only thing that made a difference in this country was not age, not social standing, not anything but just your religion. Not even race. Do not get these 2 things mixed up. Religion was the only thing that made us different. Thats all. Now thats 1 Malaysia. You go home and practice anything your bible says, but other than that, what else could make us different ? You even took interest in each others religion.

Today, the story goes by Mr. 500million ringgit commision, that he wants a "1 Malaysia" concept. I think its bullshit. Why doesnt he practice giving his neighbour a helicopter or fighter jet then by showing he is 1 malaysia ? Or showing that he cares for his neighbours too ? Bagilah ketupat, lemang ke, satay. Dickhead !

Could you count on your neighbours for anything today ? No. Today, if you park your car outside their property, they would give you shit. It becomes a vindictive game and things get ugly.

You cant count shit on them. They dont give a fuck about you. Their kids become more anti social as they grow up and learn no social skills what so ever cause they wear thick 600 powered glasses at 10 years old by sitting at home playing PC and PS and XBOX and other game consoles. Your neighbours kids next door has 800 power glasses. What happens then ? they dont socialise with their neighbours, they lack in sports and they become droids.

Im curious to know what the next generation of young people would be like.

Would they be fat ? How will their social skills be ? Would they be open and dynamic to other races ? How will they act to their neighbours ? Will they know any traditional Malaysian games like batu seremban, bottle cap, rounders etc ?

Sad isnt it, all it took was just about 10 years to piss things down the drain. While for 50 years things were going great.

If you are reading this, and you're in your mid 20's, do me some help. Move to a neighbourhood where the race group is dynamic and not segregated. You and your children need to know how to use their hands and feet than their arse on a seat in school and a couch at home and your meal table during diner. Its not healthy, they dont do squat and they dont learn anything.

Use your mouth to say "Hello" or smile to your neighbours. Use your hand to wave at them. They might find this situation strange and bizare, but it will do you and your kids good. They might even think you are a freak for doing this at first but dont worry.

Soon, they would wave back, small talk with you. Why not invite them for your parties and festivals. They would then have to repay the favor. From there, lets see where things go...

The car crisis in Malaysia

Why do cars suck so bad in Malaysia ? its such a fucking pain

Do you know that we pay one of the highest car prices in the world ? Why is this so ? Aaaaah, Cause being the ever so "unproud" Malaysians we are, we have never tailored our car prices based upon our own environment. We always look to Singapore and the UK for examples. Never at our own needs.

Singapore is a small country, it doesnt need many cars. It needs to expand its island. We have more roads than Singapore, yet we look to them to price our cars as an example. Hence, being the 3rd world country we live in, we have to suffer for this reason

Now for the UK. Do you know how much the next new car that will land in our country will cost ? If a golf gti mk5 cost 20,000 pounds, just add another zero behind it and you will get your car figure in ringgit. Isnt that brilliant ? " tambah lagi satu 0 kat blakang tu haaa, dapat harga kereta"

I cant stand that fool yamin on cars bikes and trucks. Matter of fact I cant stand the news papers that are pro government and dishonest by saying the new Proton Exora is better than the new Honda Stream. Stop sucking Protons dick Yamin. You have no fucking sense of taste for quality. Stop tea bagging peoples balls.

Do you know how much you are being ripped off because of the amount of protection Proton gets ? No you dont.

Proton is 25years old, old enough to get married and compete in the world market. Yet, we cant produce a car that is good enought to enter the UK market unless 200 changes are made to the new Saga. If Proton was unprotected, you me and Yamin would come to better senses that our cars are truly shit and we can finally afford to buy something tasty like hmmmm,... a bmw for 90k ? What can I get for the price of a WAJA ? THATS IT ! A Caldina GT4 N Spec ! ! !

I dont understand our fuel system as well. Because its managed by a bunch of monkeys.

We pay 1.80 for petrol. Yet the cock sucker of the government - Mr. Yamin, says we should be thankful. Come on fuck head ! Are you for real ? Do you really think we are that stupid ? He has compared our fuel prices with countries like Norway that pay something like 8 ringgit for petrol.

Do you think people in Norway earn 3k - 4k a month in ringgit ? No. Are they getting our B grade petrol ? No, they get our export A grade first world standard Euro 4. We make a big deal in the papers that we are finally at Ron 97. Give me a fucking break.

Now guys, do you know how much the cost of mineral water is ? 1 buck for 500 ml / 2 bucks 1litre. Bottled water in Malaysia is more expensive than your petrol. Stupid, stupid stupid.

3rd world nation, 3rd world mentality, vision 2020 in 10 years ? I doubt it as long as this country are run by monkeys in trees who take 18 tea brakes a day.

Why does SPAZ suck ?

I dont get it, everyday, thousands of motorist flock in and out of Klangville only to get stuck in a jam at hours at time.

This wastes by diesel, petrol and time from running smoothly to do what I want daily.

In late 2008, promises were made by SPAZ SDN. BHD. to complete a 600m bridge by 31st december 2009

Its been 3 months. Whats happened you bunch of piss buckets.
